Dear Friend of Lawrence Heritage State Park,
I am writing to invite you to this year’s Annual Meeting & Luncheon of the Friends of Lawrence Heritage State Park. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 30, at 12:30, at the Park’s Visitor Center. As usual the gathering will begin with lunch, followed by a short business meeting (meeting materials below), and end with a guest speaker. This year’s speaker will be our own board member Joe Ponti, telling tales of “Memories of Lawrence: A Lawrence Kid at Heart.”
Another highlight of the meeting will be recognition of Anne Benedix, who is stepping down from the Board Secretary position she has performed superbly for over 20 years. Anne will be hard, if not impossible to replace. But we will need a new Secretary, and encourage members who may be interested in doing more to ask about it. In fact there are other officer positions which could be transitioned, or shared. If you are interested or have any questions, about Board membership or simply volunteering, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
